Lassonde: Installation of drive-in racking in a food and beverage warehouse

AGIR Installation carried out the assembly of drive-in racking for Lassonde, a company specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of food and beverage products.

The project involved fitting out high-density storage structures in an already-equipped warehouse. The installation includes blue metal frames, orange consoles and support rails, as well as yellow guards at the base of the structures.

The drive-in configuration allows pallets to be stored in depth across several levels. It makes use of the available volume while grouping storage locations into compact blocks accessible from the traffic aisles.

« The Agir team was able to adapt to our operational constraints. They worked section by section so we never lost more than 25% of our capacity during the work. Exemplary professionalism. »
The challenge

Integrating high-density storage into an existing warehouse

The installation had to fit into a building with columns, overhead equipment, and neighbouring storage sections already occupied by goods. The challenge was to position the new structures with precision while preserving the clearances needed for assembly and traffic flow. The depth of the aisles also required particular attention to frame alignment and the consistency of the support rail levels. Organizing the components on the floor was another challenge on site. The frames, rails, and guards had to be arranged to make them easy to handle and to allow access to the different sections as the work progressed.

The solution

A progressive installation of drive-in racking

AGIR Installation carried out the assembly of the frames and connecting elements, then installed the consoles and rails that make up the storage levels. The photographed steps show the progression of the assembly, from the first structures to the aisles equipped with rails and floor guards. Aerial work platforms were used to access the upper parts of the installation. Yellow guides and guards complete the setup at the base of the racking and at the aisle entrances. The resulting rows organize storage in height and depth, within the available space. This project showcases AGIR Installation's expertise in assembling high-density storage systems and integrating them within an existing industrial environment.
