Coaticook Dairy: Installation of drive-in racking for dairy product storage
AGIR Installation carried out the assembly of storage structures for Laiterie de Coaticook, a Quebec company well known for its ice cream and cheeses.
The installation includes drive-in accumulation racking, made up of blue frames and orange support rails spread across several levels. The storage lanes make use of the row depth and the building's height to group a large number of pallets into a compact layout.
This project showcases our expertise in assembling high-density storage systems, where assembly precision and work organization are central.
The challengeMaking precise use of height and depth
Fitting out drive-in pallet racking requires particular attention to structure alignment and the positioning of the support rails. Each lane must have consistent geometry to allow pallets to be positioned at the different storage levels.
In this building, the assembly also had to account for equipment and ductwork located overhead, as well as the space needed for traffic during the work.
The depth of the rows and the number of components to assemble posed an organizational challenge: preparing the parts and accessing the assembly areas as the structures were put in place.
The solutionCompact multi-level storage lanes
AGIR Installation carried out the assembly of the frames, connecting elements, and supports that hold the support rails. The progressive installation of the components formed the storage lanes within the building.
Site photos show the preparation of the elements on the ground and the use of aerial work platforms to access the upper parts of the structures.
The resulting configuration distributes pallet locations across several levels and in depth, with lane entrances opening onto a traffic aisle. This layout supports efficient use of the available volume for storage.

What was delivered
- Drive-in accumulation racking, including blue metal frames, consoles, and orange support rails.
- Pallets rest on the rails at different levels and are stored in depth within the lanes.
